Bob Blomquist
Bob Blomquist is responsible for the firm’s strategy, operations, and project execution. His expertise is in life sciences (biotech, pharma, medical devices, diagnostics and health IT) and private equity. Bob has more than 30 years of international business experience: over 19 years consulting experience, and over 13 years of corporate experience. In the consulting setting, Bob has broad experience working with private equity and life science companies in evaluating new investment opportunities. Bob advises clients on a broad range of topics, including investment due diligence, competitive analysis, asset valuation & acquisition, and strategy. He has breadth and depth of experience covering a broad range of diagnostic and therapeutic areas.
Bob also has a range of new venture start-up and financing experience with life science companies, such as Genovus Biotechnologies (President & CEO), Medictor Technologies, Eurona Medical, BioSeparations, and Wallac Canada Inc. Prior to founding Blomquist & Associates, Bob held diverse leadership positions with EG&G Wallac (now part of PerkinElmer), where he was the founder and president of Wallac Canada Inc. (Montreal, Quebec, Canada), a leader in screening for newborn and prenatal genetic diseases. He was simultaneously responsible for global strategic planning and business development (M&A) at EG&G Wallac Oy (Turku, Finland). Before working with EG&G Wallac, Bob held diverse leadership positions with Pharmacia Canada (now part of Pfizer), and accomplished a business turn around for the Diagnostics division. Bob’s prior board directorships include Centro de Neuro-Radiocirugía San Javier Gamma Knife (Guadalajara, Mexico), Gamma Knife Center Indonesia (Jakarta, Indonesia), and Wallac Canada Inc. (Montreal, Canada). Bob received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology (genetics), with honors, from the University of California, Irvine, and attended graduate studies in Entomology (population genetics) at the University of California, Berkeley. Also, he received a diploma from the Western Executive Program, University of Western Ontario (London, Canada). When not in his office, Bob can often be found with his family hiking or skiing in the mountains, riding his ElliptiGO, or fly fishing on a local stream.

Nick Perrine, PhD
Dr. Perrine is responsible for the firm's market research, analytics and knowledge management. He is applying qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to our forecasting, including time to approval and other models.
Dr. Perrine has more than 10 years of experience in market research and data science, with a breadth of domain experience ranging from health care delivery, health plan marketing strategies, pharmaceutical and medical device development, to petroleum and energy markets. Dr. Perrine works with Market Force Information, where he develops consumer loyalty and financial models that identify aspects of the customer experience that drive financial performance. Prior to that, Dr. Perrine led the Market Research department at Kaiser Permanente for the Colorado region, where he applied both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies to the field of health care and delivery of care. In addition, Dr. Perrine was Director of Knowledge Management for the Prevention Department at Kaiser Permanente Colorado. As Director of Knowledge Management, he led Program Evaluation, Analytics, and Project Management for the Prevention Department at Kaiser, and served as a liaison and collaborator with primary and specialty care operations. Dr. Perrine received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Delaware, MS in Industrial Psychology from the University of Baltimore, and PhD in Applied Social Psychology from Colorado State University (Ft. Collins, Colorado). |
